A GROUP of shareholders hoping to take control of Worcester City are giving supporters the chance to find out more about its plans for the club.
The consortium, which includes former City directors Derek Jones, Dave Little, Richard Bentley and Paul Curtis, have called for an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) to oust the club's current board.
Fans are being invited to an open forum at Worcestershire County Cricket Club in The Cricket Suite on Friday, July 4 at 7.30pm where the group will lay out its plans for City.
The seven-strong group are concerned about the current board's management of the debt-laden club and have promised to carry out a complete review of the club's finances if they are elected.
The current regime have yet to comment publicly on the matter but an EGM must be organised for no later than July 17.
"The purpose of the forum is to inform supporters of the reasons for calling the EGM, why change is needed and of our plans for the club over the next few years relating mainly to off field activities," said a group spokesman.
"Along with announcing the changes we intend to make, supporters will be informed of the proposed new structure for the running of the whole club."
Members of the proposed new board of directors will also be available to field questions from supporters.
The group has also reiterated its support for City's current management team of Richard Dryden and Carl Heeley.
