GRITTERS will hit the city's roads tonight with plummeting temperatures set to bring the risk of ice.
The county council's fleet of 31 gritters will be out from 9pm treating roads as temperatures dip below freezing overnight.
Sub-zero conditions are expected in parts bringing the risk of icy patches and hoar frost on previously wet or damp surfaces.
Motorists are being urged to drive with caution and never assume that just because a road has been gritted it's safe to travel at normal speeds.
For more information about gritting operations visit the dedicated section on the council's website www.worcestershire.gov.uk/gritting
