A WOMAN was rescued from a house fire in Worcester in the early hours of this morning (Thursday).
Three city fire crews were called to Christchurch Road just after 3.30am to tackle the blaze in the first floor bedroom of the semi-detached property.
On arrival they found two occupants had been evacuated but a third person was still inside the house.
Firefighters in breathing apparatus then went into the property and rescued the woman, believed to be in her 30s.
She was given first aid treatment by firefighters and paramedics before all three were taken to the Worcestershire Royal Hospital for treatment.
Two men were treated for smoke inhalation while the woman was treated for serious smoke inhalation.
Firefighters then brought the fire under control and officers are now working alongside the police to establish the cause of the blaze.
