A BUDDING snapper from Worcester captured the Olympic spirit to claim the honours in a photography competition.
Hannah Dixon, eight, who is a year four pupil from Lyppard Grange Primary School, took home £20 in prize money and became the junior local winner in the RIBI Young Photographer Competition, as well as finishing runner up in the district event.
To impress the judges, she used a Barbie Doll to symbolise the characteristics necessary to become an Olympic champion, which included strength, agility and healthy eating.
Phil Jackson, headteacher, said: "We are delighted with Hannah's success, but not all together surprised as she puts a great deal of effort and enthusiasm into everything she does. We are extraordinarily proud of her."
