A PUNCTUAL school girl from Worcester was riding high after being rewarded for her impressive attendance record.
Dines Green Primary School pupil Maya Redding collected her colourful new bike from The Green Bike Company.
The prize comes after the Year Two pupil was pulled out of a raffle, which contained names of those who put together the best attendance record for a week.
The whole school took part in the challenge, where children also created posters and received talks from teachers about the importance of good attendance.
Sheila Webb, attendance officer, said: “Maya was absolutely over the moon. She was beaming from ear to ear.
“Her friends were a bit jealous as it has become quite a big talking point in the school. Children are now asking when we are going to do it again.”
