RUGBY fans in Worcester are being invited to dine with England head coach Stuart Lancaster at Sixways for a special evening of fund-raising.
The newly-appointed England boss has agreed to attend the charity dinner in aid of Wooden Spoon, which helps disadvantaged young people across Worcestershire, on Friday (May 18) from 7.30pm.
The black-tie evening, which will be hosted by the BBC’s rugby correspondent Ian Robertson, will include a three-course dinner, drinks reception, raffle and auction.
There will also be a chance for fans to meet Lancaster, who guided England to second place in this year’s RBS Six Nations before being handed the full-time role last month.
John Gibson, Wooden Spoon chairman of the Worcestershire region, said: “We are delighted to have Stuart as our guest at this year’s Spoon Dinner. It should be a fantastic night for all rugby supporters.
“We would like to thank Stuart for agreeing to come along to Sixways and help raise funds for The Wooden Spoon Society and disadvantaged children and young people across Worcestershire.”
Tickets, which cost £50, are still available and can be booked by contacting Laura Bader on 01905 459351.
