Fayre will showcase top writing talent

SOME OF the county's finest wordsmiths will be showcasing their talents at a local author's fayre next month.

Twelve authors be displaying and talking about their books at the event taking place at the Perdiswell House Pub on Droitwich Road on Wednesday, June 6 from 6pm to 8pm.

This is the fifth year the fayre has been organised by school librarian Linda Bromyard with money raised from the evening going to support Guy's Footprints, a new charity supporting bereaved children and their families.

There will be a huge variety of books on display and for sale including picture books for the very young right through to books for teenagers, adults and covering more specialist areas like history.

Among the authors taking part will be Wolfren Riverstick, Terry and Claire Wardle, Carys Thurlby, Glenn James, Andrew Fusek and Barbara Hopper. Usborne books will also be on sale and representatives from Guy's Footprints will be present on the night.
