DONATIONS to the St Richard’s Hospice Lights of Love campaign have topped £30,000 making it the most successful year ever.
More than 2,500 names have so far been dedicated on the boards surrounding the tree by St Andrew’s Spire on Deansway in Worcester.
The names of those remembered are also displayed in a Book of Thanksgiving in Worcester Cathedral as well as The Priory in Malvern and Droitwich Library.
And families still have time to shine a light for a loved one throughout December by making a donation of their choice to the hospice.
Alison Parkes, senior community fund-raiser, said: “We have had fantastic support from the Worcestershire community and have raised over £30,000 towards the work of the hospice. Everyone in the community who has lost a loved one is welcome to dedicate a light - you do not need to have a connection with St Richard’s.”
If you would like to make a dedication go online to www.strichards.org.uk/lightsoflove or call the fund-raising team on 01905 763963. The deadline for all donations is Monday, December 17.
