VISITORS to the Commandery can take a step back in time to a more traditional Christmas this weekend.
The Sidbury museum is hosting a Victorian Christmas with an array of festive activities from the 19th Century on offer.
Tomorrow (Saturday) from 10am there will be the chance to 'Stir the pudding' and marvel at the magic lantern and puppet shows as well as visit Father Christmas.
There will also be a variety of Christmas stalls alongside a jewellery workshop. From 2pm until 4pm the Yuletide fun continues with an afternoon of Christmas Carols with the Diabolus in Musica Victorian band.
Activities continue on Sunday (December 16) from 1.30pm with craft activities and trails and another visit from Santa Claus.
Sarah Bourne, events and visitor services officer, said: "We are delighted to be holding this event for the fourth year running so close to Christmas.
"It will certainly give you a warm, festive feeling and a chance to experience what Christmas truly is; a peaceful and amiable day out for friends and family of all ages"
There will be refreshments available, visits to Father Christmas will be £3 per child and there is a cost of £1 for all crafts and activities.
