DWMC maintain unbeaten run

DWMC A maintained their unbeaten record with a 9-1 win against visiting Nemesis to stay second in Worcester Table Tennis League Division One. Nemesis' only win was achieved by Richard Cullis who just got home against a resolute Shelia Ashby.

Both players were involved in the following doubles which Ashby and Steve Gough beat Cullis and Don James in over five games 11-8 in the decider. Richard McKenna and Phil Houghton were both unbeaten for the Droitwich team.

In a second match Nemesis were again well beaten 10-0 by a rampant Rainbow side comprising of Alan Salisbury, Ray Page and Pete Griffiths.

Manor Park Dynamos achieved their first win in beating hosts Himbleton A 6-4.

Richard Smith was their star performer winning his three singles and adding the doubles with Matt Hodges.

The latter beat Malcolm Crane and Charlie Burford accounted for Ray Rennison to complete the Dynamo’s scoreline.

John Rowe won two singles and Crane and Rennison won one apiece for the villagers.
