CHILDREN told the story of a grumpy camel and a angel who was too big for her boots as a Worcester school put their own twist on the Christmas story.

Cherry Orchard Primary School held two different nativity plays in the lead up to Christmas as children from reception to Year 2 dressed up and took part in the festivities.

Reception class pupils performed in their first ever nativity play, which was called Humph the Camel, in front of parents, while children from years one and two played a part in the story of the Hoity-Toity Angel.

Both plays saw the central character - the camel and the angel - change their ways after hearing about the Christmas story.

Jeremy Harwood, headteacher at the school, said: "It was an all-singing, all-dancing extravaganza and went down really well with the parents. The children were just brilliant."
