A MAN has been charged with committing five burglaries in Worcester.
Alan Dale, 40 of Wylds Lane, Worcester, was arrested on Saturday, December 15 and appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court on Monday (Dec 17) after being charged with burgling three businesses.
Smart Insolvency Solutions, S&D Communications and Prosser Knowles, share 1 Castle Street and they were all broken into overnight on December 3/4. Computer equipment worth a total of £3,500 was stolen.
Dale was released by the court into the custody of West Mercia Police so he could be questioned about other offences. He was charged yesterday with two further burglaries.
The Treasure Trove antiques shop on Barbourne Road was burgled overnight on November 23/24 and jewellery worth more than £10,000 was stolen.
A detached house on London Road was also burgled on November 19 and a large amount of jewellery was stolen.
Dale reappeared at Worcester Magistrates Court this morning (Thursday) and has been remanded to appear at Worcester Crown Court on December 27
