A MURDER investigation has been launched in Worcester after the death of a man who was assaulted on Wednesday (Jan 2) evening.

Officers were called by the ambulance service to Teme Road in Tolladine at 7.22pm and found a man seriously injured outside a property.

He was confirmed dead at the scene by a doctor a short time later.

A post mortem will take place in due course.

The area around the property has been cordoned off and a murder investigation has been launched.
