Hi: 14° Lo:2° 7 day

TIGHT restrictions on visiting patients remain in place at Worcestershire Royal Hospital as staff battle to contain the spread of norovirus.
Visiting at the hospital is being restricted to immediate family only and a maximum of two visitors per patient at any one time.
Young people aged under 16 are being asked to stay away from the hospital in an effort to prevent the winter vomiting and diarrhoea bug from spreading from schools, nurseries and playgroups.
Anyone who has been exposed to someone with the symptoms of norovirus or who has been ill themselves in the last 48 hours is also being asked to stay away.
Staff at the three main hospitals in Worcester, Redditch and Kidderminster are making significant progress in bringing norovirus under control, according to the Trust.
But there are still cases where relatives and friends of patients have brought the bug into hospital because affected people have not stayed away long enough to be clear of the infection.
