Murder investigation launched after Tolladine death

A MURDER investigation has been launched in Worcester after the death of a man who was assaulted on Wednesday (Jan 2) evening.

Officers were called by the ambulance service to Teme Road in Tolladine at 7.22pm and found a man seriously injured outside a property.

He was confirmed dead at the scene by a doctor a short time later.

A post mortem will take place in due course.

The area around the property has been cordoned off and a murder investigation has been launched.

Detectives are appealing for people to come forward if they know anything at all about the incident or if they were in the Teme Road area last night and saw or heard any suspicious activity.

An incident room has been set up at Worcester Police Station and anyone with information is urged to call police on 101, quoting the incident reference 514-S-020113.

Details may also be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
