THE MAN charged with the murder of Warndon flat fire victim Andrew Heath has pleaded not guilty during a hearing at Birmingham Crown Court.

Daniel Martin denied the charge at a plea and case management hearing this afternoon (Thursday).

Teresa Martin, Sarah Martin and Matthew Davies also pleaded not guilty to their charges of perverting the course of justice at the same hearing.

The defendants are due to appear at Worcester Crown Court on March 15 for an administration hearing.

That hearing will decide whether the trial will be held in Birmingham or moved to Worcester. The trial is expected to begin on June 19.

Mr Heath, 52, died following a fire in his flat in Chedworth Close, Warndon on December 14 2011.
