Hi: 20° Lo:7° 7 day

WORCESTER Wolves will be gunning for more BBL Trophy success tonight (Friday) when they take on the reigning champions Newcastle Eagles.
Victory for Wolves would see them book a two-legged semi-final clash against the Leicester Riders and move a step closer to winning their first domestic title since joining the British Basketball League in 2006.
Tonight is the fourth meeting between the sides this season with the Eagles looking for revenge after Wolves won the last clash at the University of Worcester with a 88-73 victory back in December.
Wolves booked their place in the quarter-finals of the BBL Trophy after a 90-77 home win against the Plymouth Raiders in late December.
And despite being given a tough draw, Wolves head coach Paul James is determined to see his team progress to the last four.
"Every competition is important and right now we are trying to position ourselves so that we will be challenging in competitions not only now but in the future," he said.
"Sometimes you need a little luck in these things and certainly our side of the draw could not have been any tougher as the winner will then go on to face BBL Cup champions Leicester Riders.
"As a club we are heading in the right direction and this is another little step towards our goals for the team.
"When we last met Newcastle, we had a game-plan and stuck to it well. We will need to do the same again and be even more disciplined as we are on their court and it's not easy to go to Newcastle and come away with the spoils."
