A CARE home was transformed into a sea of red as staff showed their heartfelt support for a national charity.
People at Regent Care Home dressed in red for the day on Friday (Feb 1) in aid of the British Heart Foundation's (BHF) Rock up in Red campaign.
Elderly residents also decorated mouth-watering heart shaped biscuits during their activities sessions to enjoy with a cuppa later on in the day.
Activities leader Bridie Gray said: “Our residents loved hand-making their own heart-patterned bunting to ensure the home looked the part.
"They really enjoyed decorating the biscuits - and tucking into them with a cuppa later in the day! They were particularly impressed with senior care assistant Julie Wheeler, who they thought looked absolutely beautiful in a red gown.”
The care home joined thousands of people across the country in dressing up in red for the day to help raise funds for the charity's life-saving work.
