Hi: 16° Lo:10° 7 day

A WOMAN in her 20s was sexually assaulted in a park in Worcester after a man in a car pulled over to talk to her.
The victim was walking along Brickfields Road on Monday (Feb 4) between 7pm and 8pm when a driver stopped his car and engaged her in conversation.
He then parked up and walked with her into Brickfields Park.
While they were there the man sexually assaulted the woman before she was able to run back to Brickfields Road and flag down a passing vehicle and get a lift back to a family member’s house.
Police are keen to trace the driver of the car that came to her aid as they may be an important witness.
The attacker was wearing a red jumper or jacket, was aged in his late 20s or early 30s and was driving a dark coloured medium sized car, possibly a VW Golf.
Anyone with information for the police should call Worcester CID by dialling 101 and quoting incident number is 729s 060213.
