Man charged with Powick burglary

A MAN from Worcester has appeared in court charged with carrying out a burglary near Powick.

Ben Keeley, 26 of Pinkett Street, was charged today (Tuesday) and appeared at Worcester Magistrates’ Court.

He was remanded into custody to appear at the same court on Tuesday, February 19.

West Mercia Police were called to a property in Bastonford, off the A449, at 2.30am on Monday (Feb 11) morning amid concerns someone was trying to break in .

The noise from someone smashing a window woke the homeowners and they disturbed the offender, who ran off.

A man was arrested at 3am in the local area.
