CASSOCKED choristers and clergy had a pan-tastic time as they went flat out to win Worcester Cathedral's annual pancake race.
Three teams of Cathedral choristers made a dash for the line on Shrove Tuesday as they raced around an obstacle course in the cloister, tossing pancakes in each corner.
The winning team was led by Canon Alvyn Pettersen and head chorister Ben Weaver, who just beat the Dean of Worcester The Very Rev Peter Atkinson and his team to the line.
The Dean said: "We had a very good race and everyone enjoyed it, we raised money for Wateraid and my team came in a very creditable second out of three."
The pancakes were all cooked by the Cathedral’s own Cloister Cafe catering staff who, as well as frying up pancakes for the race, dished up 90 more in the evening for the choir's tea and supper.
