Gus Hansen joins Full Tilt Poker as brand ambassador

Danish poker pro, Gus Hansen has announced that he will return to FullTiltPoker as a brand ambassador when the site relaunches on 6th November. Hansen played on the site back in 2006 and was even a former Full Tilt Pro before the former owners of the website shut down operations back in June of this year.

“I’m very excited to represent the industry’s most authentic poker brand,” said Hansen. “Full Tilt Poker has the best games, most innovative software and the strongest poker community; to me this feels like coming home.”

Throughout his professional tournament career, Hansen has already amassed earnings of close to $11.2 million. He boasts four World Poker Tour championship titles and is widely considered amongst the poker community as one of the best players in the world.

“Gus is one of the best known and most respected names in the poker community,” said Full Tilt Poker’s new Head of Marketing, Sarne Lightman. “Gus has always embodied the best characteristics of the Full Tilt Poker brand and we are thrilled to have him return as an ambassador.”

PokerStars purchased the assets of Full Tilt Poker from the U.S. Department of Justice back in August, after players on the website lost access to their accounts when operations ceased. $184 million has already been paid by PokerStars to reimburse Full Tilt Poker customers outside of the U.S., who will see their account balances automatically restored on the relaunch. Customers from within the U.S. will have their repayment claims processed by the Department of Justice.

Next month the Full Tilt Poker website will once again offer real money poker games and tournaments to customers world-wide. Full Tilt cash games will not be available in Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, France, Italy, Spain or the U.S. though, due to restrictive legislation is these regions. Despite this, the wait is almost over for players in the rest of the world, who are eager to return to the website known for delivering the highest quality poker experience and unrivalled customer service. Full Tilt will now also be backed by PokerStars’ impressive track record of player protection and game integrity.

In the up and coming weeks Lightman states that players should expect “more international pros, exciting launch promotions and the return of Full Tilt Poker as the world’s most innovative poker site.”
