Planning the Perfect Party

Any party you plan you will always want it to be perfect. There is a great deal to think about, it can be difficult to remember all the little things. If you are someone who puts on parties fairly frequently you may feel the need to vary what you do, making each one a little different to keep it memorable for your guests. Here are a few suggestions for some themes you could try, and what they would involve to keep each party unique and enjoyable.

Space

Outside space makes a cool theme for any party. It is a great excuse to put weird and wacky objects all around the place. If you are party planning on a budget tin-foil is an easy way to make anything look futuristic and alien. It is fairly easy to make an astronaut's helmet and walk around pretending there is no gravity in the room will be a lot of fun if you can get everyone involved.

Fairies

If you are going to have a fancy dress party this is a great theme, one that will be especially enjoyed by the girls. All the glitter and flowers make for fun and feminine outfits to be really creative with and decorating the room is easy. All you need is leaves, twigs and flowers which you can hopefully find out and about somewhere, the room will look like a wooded wonderland in no time.

Stories

You could choose a favourite book and theme your party in this style. Alice in Wonderland makes for a great time. You can find unusually large and small versions of everyday objects to place around, make a sponge cake but decorate it as you would a cupcake. You could even decide beforehand who will dress up as which character. Make the focal point of the event a tea party; make sure there is a Mad Hatter to serve the tea in an authentic fashion.

Stars

Though a more obvious choice, dressing up as famous people can be a really fun idea. Your guests will become more easily acquainted with each other as they guess who they are dressed up as, or find someone else has come as the same. It is also easier for those who want to dress up to a different degree or in a different style, it is often difficult to reconcile different people's ideas of how a fancy dress party should be.

There are a few things you need for every party. Make sure you have your party supplies well in advance so you do not have any last minute rushes. Balloons, party poppers and drinks are the essentials you must not forget so everyone can have a really really great night.
